Timber Mill Park Just one mile east of Baudette, north on highway 11 this park offers up something for everyone. Picnic tables under a picnic shelter, a walking track, two ball diamonds, campsites, and a public access to the Rainy River are just a few of the things available for your enjoyment. Zippel Bay State Park Ten miles northeast of Williams, the entrance to Zippel Bay State Park can be found on Lake of the Woods County State Aid Highway 8. Venture in to explore the trails, enjoy some time on the beaches, or spend the day birding. Peace Park Situated on the shores of the Rainy River and bordered on the east by the Baudette Bay, Peace Park enables you to get a fabulous view of Canada from your picnic spot, while putting your boat in the water, or while reading the informational plaques on the 1910 forest fire and Massacre Island. Lady Slipper Park A small wayside rest filled with orchids, Lady Slipper Park is located at the corner of Highway 11 and County Rd 2. Williams Community Park This pleasant village park features well-groomed grounds with bathrooms, potable water, a picnic shelter, playground equipment, and 10 campsites. historic, restored one-room school is located on the grounds. From Highway 11 at Williams, go one-quarter mile north on County Rd. 2. The park is located on the east side of County Rd. 2. Clementson Rapids Gushing whitewater at the Clementson Rapids is mesmerizing and yields a great photo opportunity. The Clementson Rapids are located eight miles east of Baudette on Highway 11. Every spring and summer the Rapid River, a tributary of the Rainy River, empties its contents over the Clementson Rapids. I The rapids are a beautiful place for a picnic, with tables and campfire spots 1 available at the site. Pools Indoor Lake of the Woods has three locations with indoor swimming pools; The Americlnn of Baudette, Lake of the Woods School, and Sportsman's Lodge. Outdoor Zippel Bay Resort, Cyrus Resort, Ballard's Resort, and the Lake of the Woods campground all offer outdoor swimming Beaches Miles of beautiful sandy beaches can be found along the shore of Lake of the Woods. Spend the day playing in the water with the kids or just relaxing with your toes in the sand. Beaches can be found at Arnesen's Rocky Point, Long Point, Morris Point Resort, Zippel Bay State Park, Garden Island State Park, Pine Island, and Angle Outpost. Attractions Public Library The Baudette Public Library is located on 1st Avenue SW. Among the aisles of books are also 5 public computers and free WiFi for users. There is also fishing gear available to check out for those wanting to use public docks. The vintage front nine, created in 1968, offers a true and natural layout nestled along the Rainy River with scenic fairways carved into mature and heavily wooded confines. The newly designed back nine is a Scottish link style with fairway and greenside bunkers, large ponds and quick greens.
